Gruv Glide
Working DJ’s number one record treatment solution
It’s said that a record can live for over a hundred years. Okay, that sounds logical to me. I can believe that. This claim, however, is completely unbelievable if we’re dealing with a record that’s being used (and often abused) on a daily basis. In addition to that, no one is saying the quality of said record will last a century, and most working DJs know that, in some cases, it won’t even last a year. And when you’re a DJ, the quality matters. So what can a working DJ do if this happens to them? Toss out their record and buy a new one, or head over to the DJ gear supplier, Gruv Glide, and buy a record (and stylus) treatment solution kit?
There really isn’t much to the Gruv Glide. All it does is remove static, increase the quality of the sound and clean your records. That’s not even the best part; Gruv Glide will do all of this for an extremely low price. Earlier, I said that this handy kit can also improve the quality of your stylus, and I assume most working DJs already know how and why. When the record is improved, that means less friction between cartridge and record, which increases tracking ability and the lifespan of the stylus due to less wear and tear. You can use this entire kit on about 150 records (yeah, that many) and you only have to use it one time, as one application is said to last your records’ lifetime.
Gruv Glide Kit
Here’s all of what it can do:
- Improves the sound (fidelity)of your records
- Removes Static
- Cleans
- Improves Tracking
- Records Last Longer
- Stylii Last Longer
- One Application per record side
- Treats 150 records per kit (when used as directed) easy to use
Gruv Glide’s application won’t harm your records, obviously. And the way to use it is pretty easy. All working DJs have to do is spray twice into one of the two specialized pads Gruv Glide offers, and spray at least four inches away. Then just use the second pad that comes in the kit to swipe the first pad you used. Apply the sprayed side onto the record gently, while rotating the platter. The key word here is "gently". When you apply Gruv Glide onto your record, do so gently.
I know this is really starting to sound like an infomercial, but I’d recommend this product to anyone who owns records. I know a lot of DJs are turning to CDs these days, but vinyl is not dead. For working DJs who still have a library of wax that could use cleaning, pick up the Gruv Glide. You won’t be disappointed. If you’re curious about how it works, head over to the official web site, where you can find out about that and much more.
