Odyssey DJ Track

Yes: Odyssey builds lighting gear as well as awesome cases

I don’t know many working DJs who aren’t fans of Odyssey. This DJ supplier will keep your DJ gear protected in even the most hectic and cataclysmic working environments; and who wouldn’t want that? In each product Odyssey has designed, they have never neglected to provide unbeatable quality…and the prices aren’t half bad either. I’ve seen better, but I’m still impressed.

If you know Odyssey, have ever purchased a single product they have invented, then you must know their efficiency is passed down to all of their DJ equipment. Granted, they’re at the absolute top of their game with cases and stands, but the other equipment is following closely in pursuit. That means if you were to purchase lighting equipment from Odyssey…knowing their reputation…will you feel hesitant about it…? I didn’t think so.

If you read Marius’ post on the Barrel Trac intelligent light, and you liked what you saw, then you’re probably going to like the Odyssey DJ Track intelligent light, too. It’s practically the same as the Barrel Trac, only with fewer features and it costs less. I recommend them both, but right now I’m only talking about one: Odyssey’s DJ Track intelligent lighting fixture.

If you’re a working DJ who needs an intelligent lighting fixture that provides on-the-go, none stop performance, then you might want to delve deeper into what the DJ Trak has to offer. For a head start, I’ll direct you to Odyssey’s official web site: they might even have other lighting fixtures that’ll catch your attention.

I’ve noticed that, the better the DJ equipment, often the bulkier it gets. That’s not the case with Odyssey’s DJ Track. It is perfect for mobile DJs everywhere! The DJ Track has got a 3 channel DMX 512 intelligent fixture with combined color and a 13 color gobo wheel, which will do what? Save the working DJ tons of time on programming. It can be left alone in a sound active stand alone mode, or it can be linked through XLR cable for both master and slave operations. It’s also programmable through DMX512 controller.

So you’ve got the features. How about the aesthetics? The Odyssey DJ Track is compact, not bulky (thank God!!!!) and is sporting a pretty nice black polishing. Not bad. But what do you think? If you want to step up your lighting game that much more, don’t hesitate to buy the Odyssey Barrel Trac.
