A rack mountable professional CD/MP3 playing solution in the MP102 player

Numark has brought so many to the world of the working DJ that I don’t even know where to start. Their DJ products are top quality and built specifically for the DJs, which gives them a unique aroma and don’t be surprised if most DJ equipment reviews you find around the internet started from Numark DJ products. They know what they’re doing, they’ve brought so much to DJs around the world and whenever the word "DJ" comes into a conversation, you can just feel "Numark" isn’t too far behind. I’ve talked about tens of Numark DJ products, but fortunately, these guys have enough to keep us entertained for a long time, and today I’ll be writing a DJ product review of the MP102 professional CD/MP3 player.

If you stick around, we’ll check out the MP102 CD/MP3 player, which has two important words attached to it. One is "professional", but that’s sort of a given since this is a Numark DJ product review after all, but by all means, try it and convince yourself. The second is "rack mountable", which means that while you could use the MP102 for mixing and live performance, it wasn’t necessarily built for that. The MP102 is designed to be part of a variety of DJ applications and situations, performing admirably in each of those. With digital, level and balanced audio outputs, the MP102 integrates seamlessly in most DJ setup, giving working DJs a fast solution for all their playback needs. The MP102 is also fast and flexible when it comes to what it does, because it makes it easy for the DJ to select and play (and then even manipulate) any track on the CD inside, supporting both ID3 tags and folders organization for quick identification of sounds.

The MP102 is also easy enough to transport, even if being rack mountable, most DJs would keep it in one place. With dimensions of 482w x 88.8h x 262d (mm) and a weight of 4 kgs (about 8 lbs), the MP102 is easily taken on the roads from place to place, depending on the needs of the mobile DJ. The switchable 115/230V, 50/60 Hz power source furthers the flexibility of the MP102 to almost worldwide, with no strings attached.
