HP gets friendly with the working DJs. releasing their latest laptop, the Envy 15 Beats Edition

There are a ton of DJ manufacturers to choose from in every department, whether you’re looking for DJ turntables or just DJ accessories to complete your DJ setup. And that’s fine, it gives you a lot to choose from, but digital DJs are getting to be more and more popular these days, not to mention a lot of regular working DJs who used to spin vinyl now include a laptop or some digital component into their gigs. That’s just the way it is, digital seems to be the way to go, in the long run, and even though you don’t eliminate all analog DJ products from your gig, a laptop usually does a lot of it. But laptops aren’t necessarily DJ products, as they have a wide range of uses. But not when you’re talking the latest release from HP, the Envy 15 Beats Edition.

It’s good to see a big brand, a multinational giant like HP getting DJ friendly and working out something just for them, and that’s just what’s happened with their latest laptop release, a new take on an older version of system, the Envy notebook. Now if you don’t know the Envy 15 notebooks, you will once you see one, because these babies have something that makes them very special in the world of computers. They can’t help but remind users of the famed Macbooks, which are some of the sexiest, best looking systems in the world. Well, the Envy 15 notebooks from HP go about in the same fashion category, attracting looks with their aluminum casing, matching black keyboard and bezel.

HP tries a new take on their sexy Envy 15 notebooks, and goes on a collaboration with the accessories producer Monster to release the new Envy 15 Beats Edition. Again, you have to know Monster this time, to be familiar with the Beats brand, as the brand teamed up with Dr Dre at first to produce a newer, better, full powered DJ headphones model, by the name of Beats by Dr Dre. Monster then went on and got Lady Gaga in the Beats brand, with another pair of headphones, named Heartbeats by Lady Gaga. So anyway, the Beats brand is all about music listening and music loving, and who else loves music more than working DJs?

The Envy 15 Beats Edition notebook from HP is modified to be DJ friendly

So HP and Monster turned out with the Envy 15 Beats Edition, which is basically about the same system as the previous Envy 15 notebook, with a few modifications, making this model DJ friendly. The configuration is the same for the Beats Edition like for the normal Envy 15, and the looks are also there, so this will definitely be one of the sexiest pieces of computing any working DJ gets his hands on. In terms of performance, the Envy 15 Beats Edition, like its regular brother, rocks! Intel Core i7 chipset, up to 16GB RAM and Mobility Radeon HD 4830 graphics head up the show. But this being a music-led limited edition, Envy 15 Beats Edition also adds Traktor LE for live DJ-ing and a pair of Beats over-ear DJ headphones, not to mention audio tuning via Beats and  Dr Dre, although the latter was actually included in the original incarnation.

This new DJ friendly notebook from HP will launch on October 22nd, so there’s a little bit more to wait on that. But the Envy 15 Beats Edition will be noticeable compared to its regular model, with the Beats model shining nicely on the back, and of course, it will have Windows 7 running smoothly on it. But it will also make the price jump up, by around $500 that is, up to the area of $2300. It’s up to you if you got that much to spend, but if you’re a working DJ in need of a new laptop, the Envy 15 Beats Edition will make you the envy of all local DJs for sure.
