If you own a CDJ or DVJ and are a UK resident, you may win a DJM 700

This is as simple as it gets, the type of no strings attached, no judge and jury and subjectivity contest only Pioneer can organize, and I’m bringing it to you, the working DJ reading WorkingDJ.com. The contest is so simple I can only put it as simple as Pioneer puts it when they present the whole thing: "If you own a CDJ CD Deck or DVJ DVD Deck you can enter our competition to win a DJM-700 Mixer or one of three pairs of HDJ-2000 Headphones."

By now you must be thinking it can’t be this simple, and that there’s something you have to do first, because nobody will give you a prize, any prize, not to mention a DJM 700, for nothing in return. Well, for Pioneer UK, it’s enough that you already own (and probably use too) a CDJ or DVJ deck, which, in all honesty, the DJM 700 fits like a glove.

The biggest drawback for me on this one is that you have to be a UK resident, in other words, have a valid United Kingdom address, since the contest is organized by Pioneer UK, probably to give something back to the fans. When I say this, I am assuming no working DJ right in the head will go and buy a CDJ or DVJ deck just to get a chance to win a DJM 700, no matter how bad you need a new DJ mixer, so Pioneer talks to the fans now. Oh yeah, here are the models which are accepted in the contest as valid CDJ or DVJ deck to participate:

• DVJ 1000 or DVJ X1
• the CDJ 1000, either MK1, MK2 or MK3
• the CDJ 800, no matter if it’s MK1 or MK2
• CDJ 400
• CDJ 200
• and CDJ 100

 

The big prize, as I said, is a DJM 700 DJ mixer that will fit just perfectly in between those CDJs or DVJs, or 3 possible HDJ 2000 DJ headphones for the runners up, just do there are no hard feelings. The DJ headphones are a nice touch too, professional as they are, and the DJM 700 is a godsend really, for any working DJ out there.

All entries must be made online at www.pioneer.co.uk by and including Wednesday 30th September 2009, so you still have plenty of time left to get contesting. Multiple entries by an individual are accepted, but limited to one entry per CDJ or DVJ model. In other words, the people themselves aren’t competing, it’s the CDJ or DVJ that are in the contest actually.

You can check out the official page for extra details, or you could just go ahead and enter the competition (keeping in mind you have to have a CDJ or DVJ model from Pioneer and be a UK resident to be eligible).
