Electronic music stars Above&Beyond release a new iPhone application, A&B Connect

Modern times have already reached a high point for any worldwide working DJ, and even if until not long ago you were just spinning records on an old DJ turntable, if you want to be known, to get your name out there, you have to jump on the new technology bandwagon and be ready to embrace whatever it is that this modern communication throws at you. Embrace it, adapt it and use it for your own fame, just like Above&Beyond does nowadays with their latest (and first) iPhone application named A&BConnect. The realm of iPhone apps has been open for a while, but Above&Beyond is releasing A&B Connect for the fans and as a whole project that will be developed over the years through updates.

Now only in its first baby stage, the Above&Beyond iPhone application aims to keep fans in direct contact with the band, wherever they are and whatever they are doing. Electronic music and Above&Beyond fans will appreciate the A&B Connect abilities, especially as it’s synced to be released at the same time as the new Above&Beyond album, Anjunabeats Volume 7 compilation.

The main things A&B Connect offers to fans all over the world is access to latest news, music, tweets, pictures, podcasts, Above & Beyond TV videos and tour info, direct from the band. There’s also potential for direct communication between Above&Beyond and their fans through the application’s push notification system, and A&B plans to make that a reality soon enough, as well as work on a communication platform for A&B Connect which will allow for like minded people from all over the world to be able to talk to each other through the system. The plans sound great, and you can see Above&Beyond thought this through, as Paavo Siljamaki said: "This is really just the beginning of our plans for the app – future updates will really focus on direct contact with our fans, as well as giving fans the chance to interact with like-minded souls all over the globe via a new community-based platform that we’re cooking up".

• one click to listen to all the latest Above&Beyond tracks, with the chance to click through and buy from iTunes
• watch the latest Above&Beyond TV episodes and promo videos, streamed directly from A&B’s YouTube Channel
• read Above&Beyond’s latest News and Twitter posts, view Gig Photos via an in-built Flickr interface, and follow Above&Beyond Tour dates using a GPRS map system
• read the Above&Beyond biography and link to Above&Beyond’s website, Myspace, Facebook
• share functionality with Facebook and Twitter
