The top 100 DJs from DJ Mag’s top 100 revealed their best track preferences

Just a few days ago I wrote about the final results (although they weren’t even released back then) of DJ Mag’s top 100 best DJs contest, which goes on every year for a while now. Since then, the official party at the Ministry of Sound took place and everybody got their due, with some of the best working DJs being present to perform, mix or get prizes, why not?

As I also said in my last post, music fans and starter DJs will be able to get their hands on the extended story of the event and the top in DJ Mag next month’ issue, where you’ll probably be treated to another juicy piece of information as well, obtained by DJ Mag with the ocassion of them finalizing their top 100 best DJs for 2009. As we all know, fall is the season to reap benefits, make charts, enjoy the best things of the past year, and for a working DJ, get ready to either settle up for indoor parties or gigs or move to the warmer countries, kind of like the birds.

So there’s yet another top at the horizon, put together by none other than the top 100 best DJs as per DJ Mag’s poll results. What happened is DJ Mag asked the awarded working DJs to name their top track of the year 2009, in their opinion, so we suddenly get the top 100 best tracks of 2009, just like that. I’ll only present a few of them, as the list would be too big for all the 100 tracks, but you can read and listen to the entire tracklist on Houseplanet DJ, who also put this information together for music fans. It could even be of great interest to working DJs trying to get some inspiration for their gigs.

I hope you missed at least one of the tracks presented here so you’ll have a pleasant surprise while going through the top 100 best tracks of 2009:

• Deadmau5 – Tim Green with Kitch In
• Ferry Corsten – Breakfast with Remember
• Markus Schulz – Rex Mundi feat Sussana with Nothing At All
• Gareth Emery nominated Andy Moor and Ashley Wallbridge feat Meighan Nealon with Faces
• Sander van Doorn – Pryda with Animal
• Carl Cox – Cirez D with On Off
• Paul Oakenfold – Robert Vadney with Fallen Angel’s Symphony
• Benny Benassi – Red Hot Chilli Peppers with Bootleg
• Eric Prydz – Brian Sanhaji with Stereotype (Thomas Krome remix)

This isn’t the entire list, and only the first ten are in order, after which I skipped to some more important names, even if they were lower on the top 100 DJs list, but it should open your appetite. Most of these tracks are available for listening (and/or downloading) on Beatport, so they’re only a few clicks away if you feel like they’d fit well into your gig. Enjoy!
