Sharam wants Mr Harmonica from Burning Man

Sharam wants to include an anonymous harmonica player from Burning Man into his single

Well, here’s another interesting way to get ideas for improving on your singles and tracks, if you’re a working DJ, or second, to get a bit of fame if you’re …just pretty goo with a harmonica. This all happened at the Burning Man festival, which is probably a main gathering for all the free-thinkers in the world. As far as I know, everybody at the Burning Man doesn’t use money at all for anything he/she wants, but instead offers his own services or things he brought to trade. That’s an interesting economic concept that makes Burning Man into an original festival, and of course music is part of the whole act. This year Sharam was doing his set at the Burning Man 2009, maybe a month ago, and he discovered an anonymous harmonica player which kind of gives new life to his single Don’t Say A Word.

Sharam’s message on his Facebook page is pretty self explanatory. Sharam was just checking out videos from his performance at the Burning Man festival when he came across a guy singing on his harmonica, nicely accompanying Sharam’s Don’t Say A Word piece, which was on the background. Just check the video link below to see what Mr. Harmonica, as we’ll call him until his identity is found, is all about. You’ll no doubt see that the harmonica sound over Sharam’s track actually does wonders in improving it, or at least that’s what I thought at a first listening.

Maybe that’s also the reason why Sharam wants to find this anonymous Mr Harmonica, bring him straight in his studio to work on a new version of his Don’t Say A Word single. Now I don’t know about you, but I would jump at this chance, so probably Mr Harmonica wold love it too, so it’s only a matter of finding him. Albeit, finding him could prove problematic, as there were more than 50 000 people attending at this year’s Burning Man festival, so where can you get one guy playing a harmonica in the middle of the crowd, like in the video link from Youtube. He could be anywhere…

That’s why Sharam is testing out this 6 degrees of separation theory (look it up, it would take me another post to explain it, and it’s totally unrelated to music) to try and find the mysterious Mr Harmonica and get him in the studio to record. So the easiest way to do this is as Sharam says, "If you could share this video with a copy of this message on your Facebook profile and ask all your friends to do the same I am sure we can find him. If anyone knows him please direct him to my FB page at www.facebook.com/Sharam " . Nice and straightforward, I’m curious if and how fast all this would work.

Anyway, for a better Don’t Say A Word track, I’m doing my part, letting all you WorkingDJ.com readers to know there’s now a wanted sign on Mr Harmonica, so if you know him, give a shout out, or if you feel like helping Sharam out, just copy his message on your blog or whatever, until it gets to the right people. By the way, Mr Harmonica is only in the last few seconds of the video, which is of Sharam’s Don’t Say A Word piece, so either fast forward there, or check out all of it, but don’t lose your patience if he’s not in there from second no.1, ok?

Oh yeah, and tell us what you think, if you heard enough to get an idea, does Sharam’s single sound better or not with an included harmonica accompanying, as in the video? This one’s just my curiosity, nothing to do with Sharam.
