The unofficial results of the top 100 DJ DJ Mag poll leaked, a day before the party
As always, it pays keeping an eye on people who know what they’re doing, so it pays keeping an eye on WorkingDJ.com, as we’ve got our hands on the poll results for the top 100 DJ contest that DJ Mag organized and were taking votes for all year long for their 2009 issue. DJ Mag is one of the most respected and trusted DJ magazine out there, with issues every month covering the latest and greatest in DJ-ing, be it people, DJ equipment or events. So their DJ contest definitely holds some weight, and certainly working DJs will pride themselves with the position they get here.
We do have the full list of 150 slots, filled with the best working DJs on the planet, but I’ll only post the first 30 or so, and you can find the complete list, all the way to the last lucky place that got into the poll here. Of course, the official results aren’t even out yet, as the official party will take place at the Ministry of Sound tomorrow. That’s where the first mention of this poll will be made, and DJ Mag will print it into their next issue as well, but you can just as well read it here, as there are some interesting ups and downs for certain working DJs. It’s a though business…DJ-ing.

The voting is closed by now and the results are in, with the top 2 DJs being the same as last time, an unsurprising first for Armin van Buuren as the best house DJ and then DJ Tiesto right behind him.A third place is taken by David Guetta (probably with all the rufus around his new album and all), who’s gone up 2 places. The rest of the standings until 30th place are as follows:
4. Above & Beyond (non-mover)
5. Paul van Dyk (down 2)
6. Deadmau5 (up 5)
7. Ferry Corsten (down 1)
