The Crane Stand Product Review
Crane takes away the strain
It’s strange how something so simple can turn into one of the most necessary, convenient, comfortable and intelligent purchases people can make. For example, the snug rug. Who knew a portable blanket with sleeves would be so convenient? All the inventor had to do was create that ridiculously simple "design", add a price and then it sells like hot cakes. In the DJ world, I’ve noticed a few of these very simple, very convenient (for the working DJ) inventions. Not as easy to make as the snug rug, but still, pretty easy. For example, The Crane Stand. Flexible bars with a convenient spot in which to place turntables, laptops and mixers doesn’t seem all that difficult to invent. And yet, it makes life so much easier.
The Crane Stand
The Crane Stand is a DJ laptop stand with a seemingly endless number of heights and angles. It heaps on the ease and takes away the strain by not including any assembly parts or loose parts, making it an ideal product for the "on the go" DJ. Not only is The Crane Stand lightweight (weighs just 3 pounds) and sturdy (made entirely out of high grade aluminum), extra portability can be seen in the way it collapses (folds down) into an inch thick come traveling time. The Crane Stand can:
- Elevate CDJs
- MIDI devices
- Projectors
- Keyboards
- Other kinds of equipment
- Can slide under a mixer/turntable for better maneuvering
Another similar product that comes to mind is the L Stand M. You can check out the workingDJ product review on it, but they are fairly similar. Both are great equipment to add to your DJ set, and they’re both insanely easy to use. The difference here is that The Crane Stand can be purchased at a price of $149. Obviously, quality has a price but, surprisingly, it comes pretty cheap.
