Pioneer SVM-1000
Pioneer has entered the video world!
It’s the age of technology, and no supplier manufactures DJ equipment quite like Pioneer. When time changes, Pioneer adapts, and when their competitors try to blow them out of the water with newer, better (and here’s the "best" part) more affordable products, Pioneer produces yet another insanely original and mind blowing item that matches the requirements of every working DJ ON THE PLANET (example: their CDJs from back in the day) pushing their competition to the background as they step into the foreground of perfection. There’s no doubt about it; Pioneer is pioneering its way through the DJ community.
I did a workingDJ post about Numark Vs Pioneer, and I picked Numark over Pioneer because of one thing: affordability. Personally, I think everyone, especially working DJs, are trying to get the best they can while keeping their budget low. So, naturally, Numark is among the best suppliers for shallow pockets. However, it’s products like the Pioneer SVM-1000 that will, undeniably, make many DJs think: screw my -$700 savings account, I’m buying this mixer!
The SVM-1000 is now availible at $8,000 MSRP
You can tell from the picture alone that this isn’t your ordinary mixer; the SVM-1000 borders extraordinary. It’s an audio/video mixer with the insane capabilities of a regular Pioneer mixer, plus special effects and features, like the two touch screens at the center of the mixer, which works in sinc with the audio. For a better idea of what it’s like, picture Pioneer’s DJM-800, only with two touch screens smack dab in the center.
The SVM-1000 offers:
- Multiple video blending technology
- Audio video effect function
- JPEG viewer function
- Audio and video quality
Pioneer also released its other performance features:
- Video Trim: Enables adjustment of brightness for each input video channel.
- Video EQ: Assignment of video parameters such as RGB, contrast, hue or saturation allows equalization and synchronization of audio and video.
- Fader Start: Allows the cross fader to start other Pioneer players.
- Fully Assignable MIDI: Control of external MIDI equipment such as effectors or DJ/VJ computer software
- Video Monitor Select: One touch on-screen video selection.
Get a detailed (and visual) overview of Pioneer’s SVM-1000 here, provided by DJmag. It’s a twenty minute review, so grab some popcorn, some ice cream sandwiches and get comfortable.
So if you don’t have this audio/video mixer, you may not know the nitty gritty behind the masterpiece. What every working DJ (and everyone with a set of eyes) does know about the SVM-1000 is that it ain’t cheap. Pioneer has proved, yet again, that great packages don’t come with affordable price tags. This mixer is NOT shallow pocket friendly.
