Judge Jules

Way more than a working DJ

DJ Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren and Paul Van Dyk aren’t the only great trance DJs (not to mention most acclaimed DJs) in the world. Not very long ago, Judge Jules was among the hottest working DJs in the business. With his ageless features, dark hair, sulky expression and glasses that remind you of Buddy Holly or that kid in the fifth grade you always beat up, his face has become an honored entity in the trance community. Although time has changed, Judge Jules’ multi-talented presence has remained the same. Since 1987, the day he started playing music, Judge Jules has been pretty busy. Not only is he among the world’s greatest DJs, but he’s also a writer, a producer,  a promoter, and a father. What’s more, he gives back to charity so much, its become something of a hobby.

Since the late 1980s, Judge Jules has taken the music world by storm. He brings trance to life in the hottest clubs in the UK, Asia, South America, the US, and all over the globe. His ability to expose trance anywhere and everywhere is remarkable, but even more so is the fact that he does this with a popular radio show that demands so much of his time. Obviously, no one can divide themselves into more than one place at one time, but…Judge Jules seems to be doing just that.

Over the years, he’s won a plethora of awards, recognition from DJ web sites, magazines, DJs themselves and, of course, the DJ fans. He’s taken his passion for music and transformed it into writing, as he’s written for:

There’s a funny pattern taking place here. I think the world is saying Judge Jules is one of the best…ever. So it’s no surprise he’s made the many "Top DJ" lists, typically pulling in at number 10 and up.

With the gigs in the UK, the traveling, the writing, and the charity events, it’s hard to keep up with a guy like Judge Jules.
