Markus Schulz will reside for Godskitchen

Godskitchen named Markus Schulz their official festival resident

Remember one of my earlier posts in which I was presenting Markus Schulz just a couple of days ago? Then the occasion was him being present at the Global Dance Festival in Red Rocks, America, along with other well known international DJs like Benny Benassi. I hope you music fans didn’t get enough of Markus Schulz though, because you’re going to see a whole lot more of him in this year, and all around the world, for that matter, so stay tuned.

As you probably know, Markus Schulz also has another new album out now, Thoughts Become Things, which is released under his progressive alias of Dakota, so that’s one way to check out Markus’s projects, but there is another, more in-the-face way to do that. House fans have also undoubtedly heard of the worldwide dance promoters that go by the rather unusual name of Godskitchen. They organize festivals and house playing gatherings in some of the cities known for how they party around the world.

Right now, Godskitchen has topped their performance at their festivals by appointing Markus Schulz as their official resident at their locations. This means that for eight times this year, wherever Godskitchen organizes a concert, Markus Schulz will be there, making sure it’s one for the history books. Let me shed some light on the Godskitchen locations and festivals around the globe, so fans and DJs know what to except. You can thus find Markus Schulz mixing for Godskitchen in any of these places:

the UK, on the 24th and 25th of July, at Long Marston Airfield near Stratford upon Avon
Russia, on the 1st of August, at Tuutari Park, Sankt Petersburg
South Korea and Australia, where the locations and websites have yet to be put up
there are 4 other locations, but the whole thing started from June, so you might have missed Markus Schulz in Poland, Belarus, Turkey and Ukraine

This huge amount of attention Markus Schulz is getting from everywhere means he’ll have less time to mix in the already classic party spots like Ibiza, where he actually resided for a number of years in the summer. And leaving Ibiza is never an easy choice to make, but take it from him directly:"It was a pretty tough decision to make as Ibiza plays a very special and an important part of the calendar for me, but after weighing it all up and the fact I’ve played there as resident for so many years, 2009 seemed like the year to try something different. I’ll be pulling out all the stops to ensure my shows in Ibiza this year are super special!".

So even if you were hoping to see Markus Schulz at Ibiza this year, he’s still going to be there 4 times, and he’s going to give everything he can to make those parties worthwhile, since he’s not going to mix there regularly. The club where it all happens is Amnesia, and although June 30th has passed, there’s still August 4th, August 25th and September 15th when Markus Schulz will be, as they say, in the house.
